The WA Sexual Health Week Committee aims to create an enabling environment for the WA community (and young people in particular) to improve their sexual health, through community engagement and collaborative partnerships.
For this reason, the WA Sexual Health Week Committee has provided a Community Small Grants Scheme funded by the Western Australian Health Department. This enables Health Workers or other relevant personnel and youth-oriented organisations in regional/remote WA to apply for financial assistance (grants up to the value of $500 each) from the WA Sexual Health Week Committee to contribute to hosting a small event in their community.
After a fantastic response and overwhelming interest the following organisations have been successful in receiving a 2012 Sexual Health Week Grant. These organisations will be hosting events from February 13 to 19. For more information and details please contact the named organisation directly.
Safer sex packs are still available, free of charge, to anyone who requires them, regardless of whether you are a grant recipient or not. For more information please contact Kristen Knox at the WA AIDS Council on (08)9482 0000 or email kknox@waaids.com
